Server Info
Our public server is up 24/7 unless the goddess of the server decides to use her computer. If that happens
then there will be some lag, but she is letting us use her computer so deal with it.
Server Name: (VA USA)Cool Monkey Head DoD v1.0
Reservation Slot Info for CMH Members
Want to use our Reserved Spot option for the CMH server? If you have already sent your IP address to Lt. Lynn 'Buck'
Compton, here's what you have to do next...
For Day of Defeat Retail users
(i.e. you bought it from the store): <------------------------
1. Open the Day of Defeat program as you normally would
2. If the server isn't full (24/24) then you have nothing to worry about; connect as usual, but if it is full go
on to step 3
3. On the first menu bring down your Console (usually the "~" button, but this may be different for
some players). From what I've been told you should be able to do this without actually connecting
to a game, but in the menu screens
4. Type this line in the console (it may help to write this line on a piece of paper and keep in front of your computer)
connect 134.126.163.136:27015
5. If all goes well, you will receive a message saying
"Reserved slot taken"
6. You may need to do this everytime you start the program from Windows XP/2000/ME/98/95, but I've been told
from a couple of CMH members that it WORKS.
For Half-Life users
(i.e. you downloaded the mod from the Net):
1. On your Windows Desktop, right-click your "Day of Defeat" icon
2. In this menu, choose "Create Shorcut." A second icon called "Day of Defeat(2)" should pop up
3. Right-click "Day of Defeat(2)" and choose Properties
4. From here, choose the Shortcut tab at the top
5. In the target line, you will see something along the lines of...
"C:\Sierra\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game dod"
You want to add a direct connect to our CMH server "+connect 134.126.163.136:27015"
6. Your new target line should read as follows:
"C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game dod +connect 134.126.163.136:27015"
7. Feel free to rename your new desktop icon to anything you want (like CMH Server). If you double click this new
icon, it will connect you DIRECTLY to the CMH server. If you are on the Reserved Spot list, you will NEVER have to wait
again! Congratulations!
The CMH server (as of 2/21/2004) is setup to hold 28 players maximum. Since only 24 of those spots are "public"
slots, the Half-Life list only shows 24/24 maximum. It WON'T let you join above 24 players from that list. so
you have to bypass the list and go straight to the console...that icon does just that.
If you have not sent your IP address, you may send it, along with your player name to Lt. Lynn 'Buck' Compton's email
address
Have fun, players. GAME ON!
